Launch of Experian's Fashion Segments

Coat hangersKeep up with the latest fashion in consumer marketing

London: Tuesday 18 September 2007

The UK fashion sector is highly dynamic, drawing its influences from a global market and dominated by seasonal trends, variations and aspirations. It is both market and brand driven and therefore needs to take account of the diversity of individuals' perceptions and attitudes towards brands and fashion trends.

To understand the characteristics of their customers and marketplace, retailers have traditionally relied upon small-scale qualitative research applied to their own customer databases. The resulting segmentation systems are dependent on existing store locations and cannot be rolled out across the country for customer recruitment or network planning.

Fashion Segments has been designed to overcome these limitations and provide retailers with a seamless approach to understanding both their customers as a whole, and the wider marketplace.

Experian Business Strategies and TNS' Worldpanel Fashion have joined forces to develop the latest version of Fashion Segments. To provide you with an overview of the segmentation system and demonstrate our findings and research, we would be delighted if you could join us at the launch event, which we will be hosting at Experian's corporate offices in London:

Experian Business Strategies, Cardinal Place , 6th Floor, Victoria Suite, Victoria , London on Tuesday 18 September 2007

Joining us on the day will be Anne Hollomby, Director of Worldpanel Fashion, TNS, who will discuss the latest trends in the Fashion market and will show how Fashion Segments can be used to highlight which areas of the market are likely to grow and be the focus for the future. Chris Fowler, Fashion Consultant, Experian Business Strategies will highlight how the new Fashion Segments consumer classification can be used to help you increase footfall in your stores, increase your store conversion rate and find the best new locations for your brand.

Coffee and registration will start at 10.00am, and the main session at 10.30am. The session will close with lunch at 12pm when you will have the opportunity to put the newly launched Fashion Segments to the test, and find out whether you are an Ana or a Stacey, or a Nathan or a Fred and, more importantly, what this means to you in terms of your approach to fashion.

To register your attendance, please email Chris Fowler at chris.fowler@uk.experian.com. Attendance is free of charge. Please let us know whether you have any particular dietary requirements. Places are strictly limited and available on a first come, first served basis.
