Experian's award-winning performance continues
Experian's Business Strategies division has been awarded Best Use of Data in Utilities and Public Sector and was the overall Grand Prix winner at last week's Data Strategy Awards ceremony.
The Data Strategy awards are run by Data Strategy magazine, the leading trade publication for the data and information solutions' industry. The awards cover data applications in every key industry sector, including the public sector, and are judged by an independent panel of twenty industry experts.
Both the Best Use of Data in Utilities and Public Sector award and the Grand Prix award related to the Mosaic Origins project to reduce inappropriate A&E attendance in Tower Hamlets. The judges were 'deeply impressed by this project which used data analysis and segmentation to understand a critical business issue. It demonstrated the sort of focused approach and structured marketing outcome which makes for a worthy Grand Prix winner. It also led to significant savings of taxpayers' money.' The Data Strategy awards follows hot on the heels of our recent win at the Connect Awards last month, again for the Mosaic Origins work for Tower Hamlets PCT. The Connect Awards are sponsored jointly by Marketing Direct and Direct Response magazines and are intended to honour very best in direct marketing practice over the last 12 months. Experian won the award for Intelligent Use of Data in a Public Service Campaign.
Experian's EIM division (notably Clarity Blue) were also successful, winning Best Practice in Data Management for its BSkyB customer retention and acquisition data management campaign; the same campaign was also shortlisted for the Best Use of Data in Travel and Leisure category.
Health Service Journal Awards
In another award-winning project, Experian worked with Nottingham City PCT to redevelop their smoking cessation services, with the PCT subsequently being Highly Commended at this week's Health Service Journal Awards. These are the best known and most prestigious awards in the Health sector, and an award of this kind is a major achievement.
Mosaic Public Sector was used to establish the prevalence of smoking in Nottingham and services were then re-aligned to better cater for the needs of the population. The New Leaf Smoking Cessation Services were Highly Commended in the category of Information Based Decision Making.
