Latest news from Experian Business Strategies May 2007
Two trend-based analytical pieces tie in together this month to demonstrate the changing lifestyles of the over-50s, making interesting reading for anyone interested how to reach this group. The Future Foundation's research on the lives of the over-50s reveals major changes in the lifestyles of this group, compared with 50 years ago. In a similar vein, Hitwise analysis of internet usage by Mosaic group shows that the over-55s are set to become the age group representing the largest share of UK internet visits.
Mosaic Origins, which classifies the UK population by name origin, has recently been used to support research for a BBC Panorama programme investigating issues around segregation and ethnicity. Our Market Research team is involved in a project for Motorsport Development UK, the partnership responsible for implementing a five year investment programme in UK motorsport. The research will track the performance of the industry throughout the year, looking at business environment, business trends, key growth areas and barriers to growth, and innovation. We also have a new service for retailers, which dovetails our expertise in economics and consumer segmentation to provide an insight into the effect of changes in the economy on consumer spending by Mosaic group.
Best regards
