Latest news from Experian's Business Strategies division: June 2008
The state of the economy is a hot topic at the moment, with implications for both individuals and businesses. Experian Integrated Marketing’s new publication ‘Marketing success in a slowdown’ discusses how businesses can benefit from the changing economic conditions and emerge ahead of their competition. In the retail sector we have carried out our first comprehensive analysis of Irish shopping locations and published our 2008 retail rankings for Ireland, which were built using proprietary information from Experian FootFall, Goad and Mosaic Ireland. Social networking is the most exciting development in marketing at the moment and the Future Foundation is currently recruiting members to join its social networks research consortium. We teamed up with Betts Consulting to produce the first national study of parking charges looking at how parking costs in cities tend to reflect the strength or weakness of the retail experience on offer. And finally this month, we explore the current condition of the UK consumer electrical retail market and identify nine key future trends.
